Hubei's annual production of 100,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate project has been launched.
Recently, the Jingmen Municipal Administration of Government Services and Big Data Management Bureau announced that the Jingmen Jinquan New Materials Co., Ltd.'s project to produce 100,000 tons of high-voltage lithium iron phosphate has completed the record registration. The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan, and it is planned to start construction in October 2026, with a total construction area of 60,000 square meters. The project will be built in two phases, including raw material storage and feeding workshops, grinding and spraying workshops, sintering workshops, crushing and packaging workshops, product warehouses, nitrogen production workshops, boiler rooms, and supporting environmental protection facilities. After completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of high-voltage lithium iron phosphate. This project aims at high-voltage lithium iron phosphate, aiming to improve the energy density and fast charging performance of battery cells, mainly targeting YWE's own battery cell production line and top customers in the surrounding area. Relying on the national-level lithium battery industry cluster in Jingmen, it will establish a closed loop of "phosphate ore -> precursor -> high-voltage LFP -> battery cell -> recycling," reducing logistics and raw material costs through local supporting facilities.
