Novo Nordisk (NVO.N) recently announced the global first and currently only approved basal insulin/glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) weekly formulation NovoJie (insulin degludec and liraglutide injection) is now available in China. It is indicated for the treatment of inadequately controlled adult type 2 diabetes patients who are receiving basal insulin or GLP-1RA therapy and need additional oral hypoglycemic agents in addition to diet and exercise.
