The Ministry of Commerce and the International Trade Center have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding for Enhancing Cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

On June 15th, Li Chengang, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and the chief negotiator for international trade negotiations, renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the International Trade Center on strengthening cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative with Kirk Hamilton, the Executive Director of the International Trade Center. They exchanged views on further deepening cooperation. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative, fully leveraging their respective advantages to promote economic and trade development in countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Areas of cooperation include promoting regional economic integration and South-South cooperation, enhancing regional trade facilitation, promoting trade and investment, strengthening trade capacity building in rural areas, supporting the "Export China" series of activities, promoting green transformation and sustainable development, digital economy, green development, and more.
