Zhang Yun, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Scientific and Technological Capabilities of the Chinese Academy of Sciences: Speed up the construction of national artificial intelligence application pilot bases and national research corpora.

The National Data Bureau held the first press conference on the "Data Element X" for the year 2026 today. Zhang Yun, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Scientific and Technological Basic Ability of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced at the meeting that, focusing on the value release of data elements, they are actively exploring new paths for the development of scientific data elementization. On one hand, in response to the urgent demand of AI for scientific data, they will accelerate the construction of national artificial intelligence application test bases and national research corpora, promote the intelligent transformation of scientific data centers, and continuously improve the support capability for scientific and technological innovation. On the other hand, they will strengthen the overall support capability of the Scientific Data Center, and improve the data element service system around key links such as rights, circulation, and evaluation.
