The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, led a delegation to visit Central Asia last week, visiting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and achieved fruitful results. Last night, Carrie Lam met with Kazakh Vice Prime Minister Bopimbayev at Government House and welcomed him to lead the delegation to attend the Roundtable Conference on the Development of Almaty City held today in Hong Kong. Carrie Lam looks forward to Hong Kong and Kazakhstan complementing each other's strengths and developing synergistically in different fields. She welcomes Kazakhstani enterprises to make good use of Hong Kong's internationally leading financial and technology innovation platforms, world-class professional services, and explore more business opportunities. Hong Kong will also further assist Hong Kong and mainland Chinese enterprises in "going global" and explore more opportunities in Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan.
