Anthropic CEO: The government has the authority to halt the presence of risky artificial intelligence.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wrote in an article on Wednesday that the government should have the legal right to suspend or restrict the deployment of dangerous artificial intelligence. He stated that the executive order on artificial intelligence issued by the Trump administration needs to be strengthened, and mandatory security testing should be conducted for risks such as cybersecurity, biological weapons, system failure, and automated research and development. He also mentioned that if the future threat of artificial intelligence systems intensifies, stricter regulatory measures may be introduced later on. Anthropic also proposed an economic policy framework to address the impact of artificial intelligence, covering aspects such as capital accounts, wage insurance, tax incentives, and expanding the social security system.
