The market research agency Counterpoint reported that in the first quarter of 2026, the global shipments of smartphone SoCs decreased by 8% compared to the previous year. Analysts pointed out that the continuous shortage of memory supply was the main factor leading to the overall decline in shipments. MediaTek ranked first with a market share of 32% in the first quarter of this year, followed by Qualcomm with 23% in second place, Apple with 19% in third place, Unisoc with 14% in fourth place, Samsung with 7% in fifth place, and Hisilicon with 4% in sixth place.
