Indian IT giant TCS plans to reduce hiring in the coming years and is ramping up its use of AI.

Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of India's Tata Group, stated on June 9th local time that as Tata Consultancy Services increases its use of AI in various departments, the company plans to reduce recruitment in the coming years. Chandrasekaran said, "The company will have as many AI employees as human employees... This will definitely lead to a reduction in recruitment, but it does not mean that there will be no opportunities in the future. Once the transformation takes place, the AI field will create more opportunities, requiring new talents."
