JinkoSolar and Aixu hit the limit up! Photovoltaic concept stocks collectively surged at the end of the trading day, with multiple listed companies claiming they have "no idea about the reasons" for the sudden movement.
Before the close of trading on June 10th, there was unusual movement in the stocks of photovoltaic equipment concept companies. JinkoSolar Technology and AVIC Co., Ltd. saw their stock prices hit the limit up, while Longi Green Energy, JA Solar, and Tongwei Co., Ltd. experienced a significant increase in their stock prices. Upon this development, reporters contacted several of the aforementioned listed companies, with the leaders of JinkoSolar Technology and Longi Green Energy stating that they "had no idea about the reason." However, industry insiders speculated that the abnormal movement in stock prices of these companies may be related to the market rumors about upcoming solar energy policies. It was reported that in mid-June, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will release the third mandatory national standard for photovoltaic modules, which will introduce new efficiency requirements and potentially clear out about 30% of outdated production capacity according to past industry standards. The news outlet sought verification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology but the staff answering the phone said they did not have information about the issue at the moment and would further verify with the relevant department. As of the time of writing, the news outlet had not received an official response. There were also market rumors indicating that on the morning of June 10th, the Legal Affairs Department of the National Energy Administration held a meeting in Room 116 of the agency to discuss strategies to counter discriminatory policies and measures internationally imposed on Chinese exports, as well as to propose corresponding countermeasures. When contacted for verification, the staff answering the phone said they could only interpret publicly available policies and could not confirm internal meeting details.
