The first four relocated universities in Xiong'an New Area are expected to open for classes next year.

"Xiong'an Announcement": In November 2023, the first batch of 4 universities, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing Forestry University, and China University of Geosciences, relocated to Xiong'an and started construction. In December 2025, the first group's main building structures were completed. Currently, the construction of the first 4 relocated university campuses in Xiong'an has entered a large-scale accelerated phase, and it is expected to start classes in 2027. The first batch of 4 relocated university campuses in Xiong'an are all located in the northern part of the fifth group of the initial area of Xiong'an New Area, from west to east: Xiong'an Campus of Beijing Jiaotong University, Xiong'an Campus of China University of Geosciences, Xiong'an Campus of Beijing University of Science and Technology, and Xiong'an Campus of Beijing Forestry University. As the initial construction project for the campuses, the main buildings of the first group of each university are mainly dormitories and other facilities.
