Benefiting from the strong demand driven by the global trend of building artificial intelligence infrastructure, TSMC's sales in May increased by 30%. TSMC's revenue reached NT$416.98 billion (approximately $13.2 billion) in May, with a total revenue growth of about 24% compared to April and May. Analysts expect the company's second-quarter sales to increase by 35%. TSMC has always been optimistic about global AI chip demand. The company's chairman, Mark Liu, stated to shareholders earlier this month that global chip supply will not be able to meet demand in the coming years. In April of this year, TSMC raised its full-year sales guidance and stated that its capital expenditure will trend towards the upper limit of the existing forecast range, with peak capital expenditure reaching $56 billion in 2026.
