Chen Meibao: Hong Kong is pushing forward with two cross-border railway projects and currently has no plans to build another high-speed railway station.
According to a report from the Wise Wealth Financial APP, Hong Kong Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Chen Meibao, stated in a written response to legislators that the Hong Kong government is working closely with the Shenzhen authorities to promote two cross-border railway projects: the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Railway and the Northern Link extension. Both projects will serve dual functions of cross-border travel and local commuting in Hong Kong, connecting the rail transport networks of both regions and supporting the development of Hong Kong's northern metropolitan area. The West Kowloon Station has 15 platforms, with 10 currently in operation to meet operational demands. There are currently no plans to build another high-speed rail station.
