Residents of Mississippi recently filed a lawsuit against American entrepreneur Elon Musk's space exploration technology company, SpaceX, and its newly merged xAI company. The reason for the lawsuit is that the defendants operate a power plant that supplies power to a data center, which has been continuously emitting noise that residents find intolerable. Court documents released on the 9th local time show that three Mississippi residents, representing more than 10,000 people, filed a class action lawsuit in a federal court in the state, accusing the two companies of failing to take measures to curb the excessive noise from the power plant, causing not only mental harm to residents but also leading to property depreciation and other losses, and demanding compensation from the companies.
