Suspect in the Bondi Beach shooting case in Sydney is charged with 19 counts.
On the 10th, the Australian Federal Prosecution stated in the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney that they have submitted documents to add 19 charges against Navid Afkari, the suspect involved in the Bondi Beach shooting incident in December last year. According to court records, the new charges include 10 counts of "shooting with intent to murder", 6 counts of "shooting with intent to resist arrest", and 3 counts of "shooting with intent to cause grievous bodily harm or injury". His defense lawyer, Leoni Gitani, stated that Afkari is aware he may face more charges. She also mentioned that Afkari has not pleaded guilty. The Bondi Beach shooting incident in Sydney last December resulted in the deaths of 16 people, including the suspect.
