In order to implement the requirements of the basic medical and health engineering, in accordance with the regular rotation medical system arrangement, the National Health Commission and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued a notice today to continue the national medical team's rotation medical work in 2026. In 2026, a total of 89 national medical teams will be formed by national hospitals under the National Health Commission, hospitals directly under the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, national medical centers, national regional medical centers, and high-level traditional Chinese medicine hospitals. The team leaders of national medical teams should have strong political qualities, organizational coordination abilities, and management experience. Members should be selected from medical personnel with good medical ethics, good technical level, and good physical and mental health, mainly at mid to senior professional titles, with each team consisting of no less than 8 people. National medical teams will go deep into areas with weak medical service capabilities in central and western regions, key supported counties for rural revitalization, minority-inhabited counties, border areas, and revolutionary old areas as per the "Distribution Table of National Medical Team's Rotation Medical Areas in 2026" to carry out at least 3 weeks of rotation medical services, and can increase the frequency and duration of rotation medical services according to actual needs.
