The Guangdong Province has released the statistics report on marine economy, which shows that in 2025, the total marine production value in Guangdong reached 2.04 trillion yuan, with an actual growth of 4.4% compared to the previous year. It accounted for 18.6% of the national total marine production value, maintaining the top spot in the country for 31 consecutive years. The 15 major marine industries achieved an added value of 830.38 billion yuan, with 9 of them ranking in the top 3 nationwide. The industries of seawater desalination and comprehensive utilization, marine transportation, and marine tourism are ranked first in the country. Five marine industries, including marine oil and gas chemical industry, marine fisheries, offshore wind power, marine engineering equipment, and marine tourism, have formed trillion and hundred billion level industrial clusters.
