Ministry of Natural Resources: Minor updates to livelihood projects may simplify or exempt certain planning permission approvals.

On June 8th, Xie Haixia, Director of the Land and Space Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Natural Resources, stated at a routine policy briefing of the State Council that for micro renovation projects such as the installation of elevators in old residential areas, pocket parks, and community childcare facilities, some planning permit approvals can be simplified or exempted. The Ministry of Natural Resources encourages temporary use of idle space and land, as long as it does not affect the implementation of long-term planning, there is no need to modify the planning again.
