China Energy Engineering Group: Signing of main financing agreement for the 372 MW gas engine investment project in Cte d'Ivoire.

According to China Energy Construction Corporation, on June 1st local time, China Energy Construction Songgong Project Company and a consortium led by Standard Chartered Bank, South African Standard Bank, Afreximbank, and Atlantic Bank, consisting of a total of 11 banks and multilateral institutions, signed the main agreement for the financing of the 372 MW gas turbine investment project in Cote d'Ivoire, marking the first industry precedent for Chinese enterprises in Africa to be led purely by an international banking consortium. The Songgong gas turbine power station project is invested by China Energy Construction Overseas Investment Company, with a total investment scale of approximately 659 million euros. It is China Energy Construction's first energy investment project in West Africa, with a concession period of 35 years. Once completed, it is expected to generate approximately 28 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, providing stable, clean, and efficient power supply for the local area.
