In response to this, when reporters sought confirmation from BYD, the company stated: "The news about 'BYD humanoid robot with the code name Yao Shun Yu,' 'the seventh generation prototype is being tested on-site at factories in Shenzhen and Changsha,' and 'about 150 units are in operation, aiming to deploy 20,000 units for internal use by the end of the year' are all false."
