The 11th meeting of the Sino-French Civil Aviation Industry Cooperation Working Group and the 4th Sino-French Green Aviation Forum was held in Shanghai.
The 11th meeting of the Sino-French Civil Aviation Industry Cooperation Working Group and the 4th Sino-French Green Aviation Forum were held in Shanghai on June 3. Xiong Jijun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and Chen Shuo, Director of the French Civil Aviation Department, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The two sides of China and France are earnestly implementing the consensus of the two heads of state, continuously deepening practical cooperation in the civil aviation industry, especially since the establishment of the intergovernmental cooperation mechanism between the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the Ministry of Transportation of France in 2010, companies from both countries have achieved a series of fruitful results in the cooperation in areas such as helicopters, engines, and supply chain of the industry. At the meeting, companies from China and France exchanged views on the progress of relevant cooperation projects and conducted in-depth discussions on the future cooperation directions in green aviation and low-altitude equipment. At the meeting, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the Ministry of Transportation of France signed the "Establishment Plan of the Secretariat of the Sino-French Civil Aviation Industry Cooperation Working Group", which serves as a supplementary clause to the "Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition of the French Republic on Civil Aviation Industry", to better promote follow-up cooperation in the civil aviation industry. At the same time, the two sides signed an "Intention Declaration on the Launch of Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Civil Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft", aiming to jointly explore the cooperation potential in the field of civil electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
