On June 5, the Basketball Association of Huaihua City in Hunan Province issued a notice regarding the handling of Zhang Changhua's inappropriate remarks: On the evening of June 4, Vice Chairman Zhang Changhua of the Huaihua City Basketball Association made inappropriate remarks and behaved improperly during a live broadcast on the internet due to being under the influence of alcohol, causing emotional harm to basketball fans in two places and negatively impacting the image of basketball in Huaihua. We sincerely apologize to all the participating players in Zhuzhou, the basketball community in Zhuzhou, and the fans in Huaihua and Zhuzhou. Zhang Changhua has been removed from his position as Vice Chairman of the Huaihua City Basketball Association, and Chenxi County Basketball Association has been instructed to remove him from his position as Chairman of the Chenxi County Basketball Association, effective from the date of this notice. Zhang Changhua will be included in the blacklist for attending official basketball events organized by various levels of Huaihua City in 2026, and he will be banned from purchasing tickets for related events through online and offline channels to enter the venues for the events.
