Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince wrote that according to the real-time monitoring data of Cloudflare Radar (global network traffic radar) in the past 7 days, bot traffic accounted for 57.5% of the global HTTP requests for HTML web content, surpassing human traffic (42.5%) for the first time. This transition, which was predicted by the industry to occur more than a year later, has raised doubts among netizens who question the difficulty of distinguishing between requests from bots and requests from humans operating behind bots. Additionally, some bot traffic may not come from intelligent agents but rather from web crawlers or scripts. Furthermore, this data only pertains to HTML web page requests. When considering the total bandwidth of the internet (such as video streaming, social media infinite scrolling, and in-app APIs), human traffic still represents about 65% of the absolute majority.
