A reporter asked, "The 'Meet in Central Plains, Discover the Splendor in Henan' 2026 Cross-Strait Journalists Joint Interview Activity was recently held in Henan. Please introduce the relevant situation." Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian of the Taiwan Affairs Office said, "From May 27th to June 2nd, the 'Meet in Central Plains, Discover the Splendor in Henan' 2026 Cross-Strait Journalists Joint Interview Activity was successfully held. More than 40 journalists and self-media workers from the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong participated in the event, conducting in-depth interviews with enterprises, cultural institutions, etc. in Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Kaifeng and other places, comprehensively and from multiple perspectives reporting on the development of Henan in rural revitalization, advanced manufacturing, cultural tourism, and other areas, experiencing the deep heritage and vibrant vitality of the Central Plains on-site. The Cross-Strait Journalists Joint Interview Activity is jointly organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the China Journalists Association, and has been held 24 times since 2000. Journalists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait jointly conduct in-depth interviews and reports in various parts of mainland China, playing a positive role in promoting media exchanges and mutual understanding between compatriots on both sides of the Strait.
