It was learned from the Supreme People's Procuratorate that the case of Wang Lixia, former deputy secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and former chairman of the autonomous region government, suspected of bribery, has been investigated by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution. The Supreme People's Procuratorate has lawfully made an arrest decision against Wang Lixia on suspicion of bribery, and designated the Daqing City People's Procuratorate in Heilongjiang Province to review and prosecute the case. Recently, the Daqing City People's Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution to the Daqing City Intermediate People's Court. During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed the defendant Wang Lixia of her litigation rights, questioned the defendant, and listened to the opinions of the defense counsel. The procuratorial organs accused the defendant Wang Lixia of using her positions as deputy secretary and mayor of the Tongchuan Municipal Committee of Shaanxi Province, a member of the Party Group and vice governor of the Shaanxi Provincial Government, a member of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, minister of the United Front Department, secretary of the Huhhot City Committee, deputy secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, and chairman of the autonomous region government to provide convenience and benefits for others, illegally accepting property from others in an especially large amount, and should be held criminally responsible for the crime of bribery.
