On Tuesday afternoon in New York, spot gold rose by 0.06% to $4487.82 per ounce, reaching a high before falling back. At 09:52 Beijing time, it hit a daily low of $4463.23 per ounce, then continued to rise, hitting a daily high of $4541.63 at 15:14. COMEX gold futures rose by 0.27% to $4518.60 per ounce, reaching a high of $4571.30 at 15:14.
Spot silver rose by 0.39% to $75.1334 per ounce, trading between $74.5008 and $77.0121 throughout the day. COMEX silver futures rose by 0.27% to $75.455 per ounce.
COMEX copper futures rose by 1.88% to $6.6760 per pound, trading between $6.5275 and $6.6980 throughout the day, approaching the May 13th peak of $6.7160.
Spot platinum rose by 0.34% to $1935.68 per ounce, hitting a daily high of $1981.58 at 16:06; spot palladium rose by 0.77% to $1372.55 per ounce.
