Brazilian President signs decree to ensure smooth hosting of the Women's World Cup.
On the 2nd, a decree signed by President Lula was published in the Brazilian Federal Government Gazette, laying down the legal foundations for the country to host the 2027 Women's World Cup. This decree covers various aspects including ticket sales and resale, simplification of visa procedures, volunteer management regulations, public safety measures, protection of commercial rights, and coordination between various levels of government. Brazilian Minister of Sports Cordeiro said, "Brazil is not only hosting an event, but is also committed to leaving a legacy in areas such as social inclusion, infrastructure, and sports development through the event." The 2027 Women's World Cup will take place from June 24 to July 25, with over 3 million fans expected to attend live matches.
