Token supermarket is here, buying computing power is now as convenient as buying electricity and water.
Currently, the usage of Tokens is experiencing explosive growth. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that China's daily Token usage has surged from 100 billion in early 2024 to 14 trillion in March 2026. Tokens are becoming the new "hard currency" of the intelligent age. Recently, Wuxi, Jiangsu launched a city-level "Token supermarket", transforming AI services from "selling computing power" to "selling capabilities", making it easier and more cost-effective for businesses to use AI. In the past, companies wanting to use AI had to build their own data centers, buy high-end graphics cards, hire algorithm engineers, as well as pay for hosting, electricity, and maintenance, with annual costs exceeding a million. However, this "Token supermarket" charges based on usage just like a water or electricity meter, providing one-stop access to various large models, connecting businesses, universities, and research institutions, and creating a network of computing power, models, and application ecosystems. For small and medium-sized enterprises, the change is very evident. A local intelligent security company, after using the Token supermarket, saw a significant increase in research and development efficiency and a decrease in costs. The company's CEO stated: "After connecting to the Token supermarket, our software development costs are less than 10,000 per month, and the costs of research and development personnel have been reduced by about 50%, with an 80% increase in development efficiency. Previously, embedding AI in products was something only large companies could afford, but now we can simply call a few interfaces."
