Analysis: Ether is expected to outperform Bitcoin.
Geoff Kendrick of Standard Chartered Group stated in a report that following the first sale of bitcoin holdings since 2022, the price of ether against bitcoin may further rise. Kendrick stated that 32 bitcoins were sold last week, valued at approximately $2.5 million. "I think yesterday marked the start of ether's outperformance against bitcoin," he said. While the scale was small, Standard Chartered's sale highlighted the different business models between bitcoin reserves companies and ether DAT companies. Ether has a staking yield of 3%, so ether DAT companies do not need to sell the cryptocurrency, unlike bitcoin DAT companies. Data from the London Stock Exchange Group shows that the price of ether against bitcoin has risen to a nearly three-week high of 0.0284530, with Standard Chartered Group expecting it to reach 0.040 by the end of the year.
