On June 1st, Ling Jihai, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations, met with Wu Sitian, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council, and exchanged views with representatives of some British companies in China. Ling Jihai stated that this year marks the beginning of China's "15th Five-Year Plan," during which China will develop new productive forces and expand institutional opening-up. China-UK economic and trade cooperation is facing an important opportunity, and he hopes that British companies will leverage their advantages in service industry innovation to inject new momentum into China-UK cooperation. Wu Sitian expressed that the China-Britain Business Council is willing to continue supporting the deepening of exchanges and cooperation between enterprises from both sides, and to deepen cooperation in fields such as modern services, green low-carbon, and biopharmaceuticals. After the meeting, the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the China-Britain Business Council signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Investment Promotion Cooperation."
