Ministry of Culture and Tourism: Domestic residents' tourism expenditure reached 6.3 trillion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the 2025 Cultural and Tourism Development Statistics Bulletin on the 2nd. In 2025, the number of domestic trips by residents reached 6.522 billion, an increase of 16.2% year on year. Among them, the number of domestic trips by urban residents was 4.996 billion, an increase of 14.3% year on year; the number of domestic trips by rural residents was 1.526 billion, an increase of 22.6% year on year. The total expenditure of domestic residents on trips was 6.30 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.5% year-on-year. Among them, urban residents spent 5.30 trillion yuan on trips, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year; rural residents spent 1.00 trillion yuan on trips, an increase of 21.4% year-on-year.
