The United States launches a second anti-dumping and countervailing investigation into the import of melamine from China.

On June 1st, the United States Department of Commerce announced the initiation of the second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on imports of melamine from China. At the same time, the United States International Trade Commission initiated an industry damage investigation on the above-mentioned products subject to the second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review. The investigation will determine whether the import of the subject products will continue to cause substantial harm to the domestic industry of the United States if the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures are lifted within a foreseeable period.
