According to Qichacha data, as of June 2, 2026, there are 2375 patents related to brain-machine interfaces in China, with the majority being invention patents, accounting for over 90%. In the past five years, China has accumulated over 1800 patent applications related to brain-machine interfaces, with 572 applications in 2025 alone, setting a new high in the past five years. Since 2026, China has already applied for 113 patents related to brain-machine interfaces.
