TrendForce: Continuous supply shortage of DRAM, HBM contract prices may be significantly raised in 2027.

Wisdom Finance APP learned that, according to the latest research from TrendForce, the price of conventional DRAM has been rising sharply since 2H25, reflecting a situation of supply shortages. The annual pricing mechanism of the three major manufacturers of HBM has caused HBM contract prices to not be able to reflect the quarterly price increase trend in a timely manner. As we enter 2Q26, buyers and sellers are negotiating the supply of mainstream HBM4 products for 2027. TrendForce believes that, based on the supply shortage of DRAM, the high manufacturing difficulty and cost of new and old generation HBM, the three major manufacturers will significantly increase the price of HBM in 2027.
