Russia calls it an operation to expose foreign intelligence agencies implanting spyware in the phones of Russian senior officials.

According to the reports of TASS news agency, the Russian Federal Security Service said that it uncovered a large-scale operation by foreign intelligence agencies to implant spyware on the mobile devices of high-ranking Russian officials. The Russian Federal Security Service stated that the software is capable of extracting data, eavesdropping on conversations, and conducting secret audio and video surveillance near the devices. The Russian Federal Security Service also stated that foreign intelligence agencies utilized the capabilities of large international IT companies and mobile communication technologies in their operation.
