CICC: It is expected that Macau's gambling revenue in June will be between 19.5 billion and 21 billion Macau Patacas.
The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China released a research report stating that Macau's gambling revenue in May was 22.6 billion Macau dollars, an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year and a 13.7% increase compared to the previous month, slightly higher than the market's forecasted 5% year-on-year increase. The average daily gambling revenue in May was 729 million Macau dollars, a 10% increase compared to April. The bank believes that the strong performance in May was mainly attributed to the May Day holiday and various large entertainment events in Macau attracting more visitors. The bank predicts that gambling revenue in June this year will range between 19.5 billion to 21 billion Macau dollars, with a daily average of 650 million to 700 million Macau dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 0 to 7%, and a decrease of 12% to 18% compared to the same period in 2019, mainly due to the seasonal diversion effect of the World Cup on Macau's gambling demand.
