General Mills will sell its Hagen-Dazs ice cream shops in mainland China. The investor group includes Ningji, a Chinese company that operates thousands of fast-casual tea retail stores. These investors will receive exclusive permission from General Mills to operate Hagen-Dazs branded ice cream shops and gift businesses in China. General Mills stated that they will continue to operate Hagen-Dazs retail and food service businesses in China. The proposed transaction is expected to be completed this year. Financial terms were not disclosed. General Mills stated that the transaction aligns with its strategic focus on high-growth opportunities in its product portfolio.
