According to sources, about 15 companies are interested in investing in a new Japanese emerging artificial intelligence research and development company jointly established by SoftBank and other institutions. Companies such as Toshiba, Hitachi, and KDDI Research Institute plan to participate in the investment, aiming to align the artificial intelligence research and development business of this new company with their own development needs. Artificial intelligence system research and development companies PleiNet Networks and Fish School Artificial Intelligence are also expected to enter the market and lead related research and development work. Various Japanese artificial intelligence research and application companies hope to work together to tackle cutting-edge technologies and reshape industry competitiveness. This new company will focus on physical artificial intelligence systems, with the related technologies ultimately being applied to robotic equipment. Companies from various industries in Japan are actively participating, planning to use this technology to achieve goals such as production automation. Companies interested in investing in this company, named the Japan Artificial Intelligence Platform Model Development Company, include industrial robot giants Fanuc and Yaskawa Electric, Daikin Industries, major power company JERA, Asahi Kasei, and Japan Life Insurance. In addition, ten companies including Fujitsu are also rumored to be considering entering the market.
