According to Barron's report, the market may assume that Tesla will offer discounts to buyers making large volume purchases. However, this is not the case. The results show that one of the largest buyers of Tesla Cybertruck is actually SpaceX, owned by Musk. The rocket company spent $131 million to purchase this futuristic-looking pickup truck. According to SpaceX's S-1 IPO registration statement, these electric vehicles were purchased at the "recommended retail price by Tesla's manufacturer." SpaceX did not receive any discounts. With this amount, approximately 1600 trucks can be purchased. This number represents about 8% of the total number of Cybertrucks Tesla plans to sell in the US market by 2025.
