Shanghai Shipping Exchange: Coal supply tightens, comprehensive index slightly rises.
Shanghai Shipping Exchange: This week, with the increase in hot weather, daily coal consumption at power plants has risen, inventory depletion has accelerated, and the expected production capacity supply has tightened due to a safety accident at a coal mine in Shanxi province. This has driven coal prices at production areas to rebound comprehensively, downstream and traders are actively purchasing, shipowners have raised their quotations, and the transportation market has seen an increase in cargo volumes. The comprehensive index has slightly increased. On May 29th, the China Coastal Comprehensive Freight Index released by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange closed at 1313.93 points, up 1.2% from the previous period.
