The reporter learned from the Guangdong power grid that at 13:44 on May 27, the electricity load in Guangdong reached a record high for the first time this year, reaching 165.93 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 0.61%, and the time of the first peak load this year was nearly two months earlier than in previous years. Currently, the electricity supply in Guangdong is stable and orderly. Due to the influence of the El Nio climate, the temperature in Guangdong this year is 0.6 to 3C higher than the same period in previous years. According to Chen Huican, head of the trading group of the Operation and Planning Department of the Guangdong Power Control Center of the Southern Power Grid, the rapid rise in load is mainly due to a combination of multiple factors. Recently, the temperature in Guangdong has rapidly increased, and the concentrated release of air conditioning load, combined with the steady recovery of the province's economy and the effective implementation of local consumer stimulus policies, has led to a comprehensive increase in high electricity demand.
