On May 27th, Teng Jiguo, Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, efforts will be made to accelerate the formation of a complete legal system. Good laws are the premise of good governance, and it is necessary to strengthen legislation in key areas, emerging areas, and areas involving foreign affairs, in order to enhance the systemic, holistic, collaborative, and timely nature of legislation.
