According to incomplete statistics from reporters, as of May 26th, regulatory authorities had issued a total of 56 penalties related to data security, with a total amount exceeding 70 million yuan, nearly double the total amount from the previous year. Among the 56 penalized institutions, 24 received penalties exceeding one million yuan, with 5 of them receiving penalties exceeding 3 million yuan. In contrast, there was only one penalty exceeding one million yuan for the entire previous year. In terms of institution types, rural commercial banks and rural cooperatives have become "disaster areas," accounting for a total of 71%.
