Guangdong: Firmly strengthen the dominant position of enterprises in innovation.

On May 26th, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government Information Office held a special press conference on the theme of "Starting the '14th Five-Year Plan' in Guangdong." Wang Yueqin, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, stated that Guangdong's comprehensive regional innovation capability has ranked first in the country for nine consecutive years, with its greatest advantage being strong innovation capabilities of enterprises. The province has 74,000 high-tech enterprises and 56,000 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in the database, all of which rank among the best in the country, and has seen the emergence of a number of globally influential technology leading enterprises. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Guangdong will strengthen the position of enterprises as the main body of innovation, and allocate more innovation resources such as platforms, projects, talent, and funds to enterprises, and integrate them with enterprises.
