Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ryo Akazawa stated that currently two senior Japanese government officials are visiting Russia. The Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Katsuyoshi Arai, and the European Bureau Examiner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Masami Ishikawa, plan to meet with Russian government officials and other relevant individuals. The purpose of the visit is to promote communication and protect the assets of Japanese companies operating in Russia.
