Three major wharves projects in the Port of Guangzhou passed the inspection for opening up to the outside world, adding 4.7 kilometers of foreign trade coastline.

Reporters learned from the Guangzhou Port Group that on May 22, the expansion projects of the fourth phase terminal and the general grain terminal at the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port have successfully passed the external opening acceptance inspection, adding new berths and a near-ocean terminal. After the opening of these three projects, Guangzhou Port will add 4.7 kilometers of foreign trade shoreline, a foreign trade container throughput capacity of 4.9 million standard containers, a foreign trade bulk cargo throughput capacity of 12.92 million tons, and a foreign trade vehicle throughput capacity of 200,000 vehicles. This will further release the foreign trade operation capacity of the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port, promote the new breakthrough of Guangzhou Port's international shipping and logistics hub function.
