On May 22, the First Intermediate People's Court of Shanghai publicly announced the verdict of Suigun, former party group leader of China Ocean Shipping Group Co., Ltd., for accepting bribes and embezzling public funds. Suigun was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison for bribery, fined one million yuan, and five years and six months in prison for embezzlement, with a total of twelve years and six months of imprisonment and a fine of one million yuan. Illegal gains and profits were confiscated.
