Paul Uren, head of investment banking for J.P. Morgan in the Asia-Pacific region, said on Thursday that the bank is introducing artificial intelligence tools in its global investment banking business, becoming one of the first institutions in the industry to adopt this technology on a large scale. Major banks around the world are increasing their investments in AI, a trend that is reshaping the employee structure and driving changes in job functions. Uren said, "We are still at an early stage of using AI tools in our global investment banking business, but we are excited about the progress." This Wall Street bank is one of the few institutions licensed by the startup company Anthropic to use the powerful cybersecurity model Mythos within its controlled "Project Glasswing" framework. "Our AI tools allow us to access more information and quickly integrate it without relying on internal systems," Uren said, without specifying which AI tools are being used.
