China Aluminum Industry: plans to invest in the construction of a 1.2 million ton aluminum oxide project.
Announcement from Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco): The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Chalco Hong Kong Limited, plans to invest in and construct a 1.2 million ton alumina project in Guinea. The project company will be responsible for building production facilities with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons of alumina, as well as port facilities and other related supporting facilities, with a total estimated investment of approximately 1 billion US dollars. At the same time, the mining company will gradually implement activities to supply ore for the alumina project and appropriately increase the scale of ore exports. If there are any significant developments in the project in the future that require disclosure, the company will fulfill its disclosure obligations in a timely manner.
