According to the China Real Estate Research Institute, from January to April 2026, the number of high-end decorated residential properties opened in key monitored cities was 177, a decrease of 32.4% year-on-year; the number of high-end decorated residential properties was 95,700, a significant decrease of 41.7% year-on-year. Among them, the number of openings in April was 53, a decrease of 24.3% year-on-year, an increase of 51.4% month-on-month; the number of high-end decorated residential properties was 30,100, a significant decrease of 45.3% year-on-year. The average high-end decoration rate was 23.5%, a decrease of 1.12 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The average high-end decoration rates for first-tier cities, second-tier cities, and third- and fourth-tier cities were 87.9%, 33%, and 8.7%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, a decrease of 0.82 percentage points, an increase of 1.45 percentage points, and a decrease of 2.31 percentage points. The highest average high-end decoration rate was in the South China region, reaching 48.8%.
