Iranian Parliament Speaker: We are aware of the issue of rising prices and will work hard to solve it.

On the 20th local time, Iranian Parliament Speaker Kalibaf stated in an audio address to the Iranian people that the Iranian government has taken notice of the recent increase in prices of some basic goods and the rising cost of living for the people. Kalibaf mentioned that the Iranian people have been facing pressures from the United States and Israel for the past 80 days and are now also dealing with economic difficulties in their daily lives. He noted that the rising prices of basic goods, increased living costs, decreased purchasing power, and diminishing job opportunities are current issues facing the people. Kalibaf mentioned that attention has been drawn to the increasing prices of certain food items including rice, chicken, eggs, and meat. He stated that one of Iran's "enemies" mistakenly believes that economic pressures will weaken the social cohesion in Iran. However, he mentioned that the Iranian people have remained united and continue to stand at the forefront against the enemies. Kalibaf also emphasized that Iranian institutions and officials should dedicate themselves to serving the people with the same spirit and determination, striving to address the people's livelihood issues.
